riends of Fort Dobbs, the not-for-profit support group of the Fort Dobbs State Historic Site, welcomes your help in preserving, protecting and interpreting this extraordinary 18th century legacy.

The Friends organization serves the mission of Fort Dobbs State Historic Site by helping "to preserve and interpret North Carolina's only French and Indian War fort." Memberships help provide vital funding for

  • Educational programming for children, schools and adults
  • Archaeological research and artifact acquisition
  • Reconstruction of the 1756 fortification
  • Site preservation
